The Story

From the '85 World Series to the 2015 parade — Royals, twice.

1985: George Brett, Bret Saberhagen, the I-70 Series. Don Denkinger's call. Kansas City wins it all in seven. 2015: Salvy Pérez, Lorenzo Cain, the Eric Hosmer mad-dash slide. Thirty years later — Royals, again.

Kauffman Stadium has the famous fountains in the outfield, the crown-shaped scoreboard, and the deepest center field in the American League. Our Kansas City Field stretches 270 feet to dead center for a reason — the kids who play here learn that warning-track power is still power.

It's a triples park. A speedster's park. The field where someone always seems to round second a little too early.
